The Ozmist Food Ozone Fruit & Vegetable Washer uses on-demand corona-discharge ozone generation, dissolving O₃ into recirculating wash water at controlled 1–3 ppm concentrations to oxidise pesticide molecules, disrupt bacterial cell membranes, and denature viral capsids in a single 3–5 minute wash cycle. Unlike chlorine or hypochlorite treatments, ozone decomposes back into oxygen within minutes, leaving zero disinfection by‑products (no THMs, no HAAs) and no chemical taste on produce. The unit is fabricated in AISI 304 stainless steel with an insulated ozone contactor, a residual ozone destructor on the exhaust stream, and a food-safety PLC that logs ozone concentration, contact time, and load throughput per FSSAI Schedule IV record‑keeping requirements. Standard capacities of 50 kg/batch, 100 kg/batch, and 200 kg/batch cover applications from mid‑size restaurant kitchens to institutional food processing.
