IEC 60068-2-14 test Na (rapid change) and Nb (gradual change) subject products to alternating hot and cold conditions to reveal solder joint fatigue, differential thermal expansion damage, and hermetic seal failures. Automotive electronics, aerospace assemblies, and industrial controls routinely require several hundred thermal cycles for qualification. Ozmist chambers with 8 K/min ramp rate accomplish typical Na test cycles in under 3 hours per cycle — meaningful when 500+ cycles are required.
Automotive Electronic Module Qualification

Automotive AEC-Q100/Q200 stress-test flows require thermal-cycle and high-temperature-storage testing. Under-hood modules see –40°C to +125°C; passenger-compartment modules see –40°C to +85°C. Ozmist chambers support both envelopes with the reliability ramp rates AEC test flows demand.
